THE BIG IDEA:
This is part 3 of a 4-part series on Philippians. This lesson's big idea is that we're meant to stand out in our world because we’re following Jesus. Standing out as a Jesus-follower might be painful, but it's also God’s plan to show Himself to the world.
HOW TO USE THIS:
This Bible study can be used "on the fly" or with a little more preparation. The quickest way to go through the material is to skip the activities and all the commentary and just use the Scriptures and the bolded outline. If you've already got a good handle on the concepts and God's Word, this can provide you with a little lesson structure.
However, if you have more time to prepare and/or would like to break up your teaching, we hope you'll find the activities as helpful object lessons to reinforce the big ideas of the lesson. The commentary is not necessarily meant to be taught "thought for thought." It's included here to help you gain and teach a greater understanding of the Scriptures covered. It's included here to help you gain a greater understanding of the Scriptures covered and pass on those things you find most valuable to your students.
WHO IT'S FOR:
This is built for youth leaders to teach to teens for Bible studies, youth group, or Sunday School, though the basic structure could be applied to almost any teen or adult age group.
